Well, there's something you don't see everyday...

This hurricane model seems... well... pretty odd.



It predicts that Dean will quickly become a category 5 hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, hit Mexico's east coast, weaken, and then hit Mexico City. If that wasn't odd enough, it also suggests that Dean will push through to the Pacific, go north along the coast to the Gulf of California, and gain strength, pushing north into the U.S. as a weak hurricane -- or a strong tropical storm -- on its way towards Yuma, Arizona.

A tropical storm in Arizona? It certainly sounds unlikely... but after a Google search, I was surprised to find out that it has actually happened quite a few times in recorded history.
